Kentucky has secured one of its biggest recruiting wins of the 2027 cycle, landing four-star wide receiver Tyler Fryman. The Beechwood standout announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Friday, giving Will Stein another marquee in state addition.
Fryman chose Kentucky over Finalists Notre Dame and Louisville after taking an official visit to Lexington last weekend. He also plans to play baseball for the Cats after previously being committed to Louisville’s baseball program.
Tyler Fryman is regarded as one of the top overall prospects in Kentucky and one of the nation’s premier wide receivers in the Class of 2027. The 6’0, 180-pounder is ranked No. 203 nationally and the No. 31 wide receiver according to 247sports.
During his junior season, he totaled 45 receptions for 1,023 yards and 18 touchdowns. The commitment is significant for Kentucky after losing four-star receiver Iveon Lewis earlier this week. Fryman, who has been a favorite to land at Kentucky for some time quickly emerged as the top remaining target following Lewis’ decommitment.
With Fryman now in the fold, Kentucky adds another dynamic piece offensively.
