Another Friday night success at Memorial Coliseum as University of Kentucky Gymnastics hosted Temple in an out of conference showdown. Like any other night the Cats came out strong with incredible scores on vault and Makenzie Wilson scoring a team high of 9.900. After the first rotation of a terrific round on vault and the Owls on bars, Kentucky took the early lead of 49.275 to 48.625. Skylar Killough-Wilhelm was doing her thing tonight on the all-round and showed off an incredible bar routine as the anchor that help the Cats break away even farther with scoring a 9.925. The Cats left the first two rounds with a total score of 98.5 as Temple trailed with a score of 97.15. Although a rougher night on beam Isabella Magnelli put on a show scoring 9.925 and gaining the meet overall high score on beam. After three rotations the Cats were now leading 147.7 and the Owls 145.575. Even though it was not a meet Kentucky wanted with bumps here and there the floor crew absolutely swept the competition putting on a clinic. With Hailey Davis rock routine scoring a 9.925 and both Killough- Wilhelm and Creslyn Brose taking on 9.900. With a final score of Kentucky 197.175, the Cats now look to next Friday were they will face SEC opponent LSU at Memorial Coliseum at 7 pm.
