Kentucky Gets Record Setting Win At Mizzou

No.19 Kentucky men’s basketball traveled to No.15 Missouri to play their final game of the
regular season. The Wildcats took the win, 91-83. With the win, Kentucky also sets a program record 8th top-15 win!
The first five on the court were Otega Oweh, Lamont Butler, Andrew Carr, Koby Brea, and Amari
Williams.
Missouri was the first to put points on the board, but Carr put Kentucky on the board with a
three. Carr made a free throw following a Missouri six point streak. The Tigers took the lead with
a three, 11-4.
Trent Noah now on the court drained a three followed by a three from Brea to get the Cats
within one, 11-10. Travis Perry got in on the action landing a three of his own and Owen hooked
onto the rim with a dunk to close out an 11-0 run for the Cats and give them the lead.
Brea hit another three and Carr added some more points on the board for the Cats scoring
underneath. Williams found the rim for a dunk of his own followed by some Missouri free throws.
Williams countered it with a pair of free throws.
The Cats continued to dominate throughout the remainder of the first half. Carr and Williams
both put the ball in the hoop and Brea hit yet another three. Missouri kept trying, scoring a few
more baskets but Brea and Colin Chandler grew the lead for the Cats to finish up the first half,
38-29.
Opening up the second half the Tigers were the first to put points on the board, but Kentucky
was hot with threes from Oweh and Carr. The Tigers answered, scoring the next five points.
Butler and Brea continued to push Kentucky further into the lead assisted by a pair of free
throws from Carr and a basket from Oweh.
Kentucky continued the momentum, not letting Missouri get ahead. With a little over two
minutes left of play the Cats held a nine point lead, 76-67. Within the last seconds of the game,
Missouri fought, but it would not be enough. Kentucky remained consistent and put away the
game with their final victory of the regular season.
Kentucky will be back in action on Thursday to start the SEC Tournament.
