Kentucky is making an aggressive push for one of the most dynamic back court combinations in all of College Basketball. A source tells Bleed Blue Network that the Wildcats are “100%” going after both Robert Wright III and Zoom Diallo: The goal is to have them both playing next to one another in Lexington next season.
Zoom Diallo just wrapped up his visit to Kentucky on Friday, while Wright is scheduled to visit Lexington on Monday. The back to back visits show how serious Mark Pope and the staff are about not only landing a point guard, but potentially both.
Washington guard Zoom Diallo is coming off a strong sophomore season. He averaged 15.7 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds while shooting nearly 49 percent from the field. He’s considered one of the top point guards available in the transfer portal. His elite size being 6’4, and athleticism aren’t his only strengths. In his freshman season he shot just 18% from the three-point line. Fast forward a year later, and he ended his sophomore year shooting 31.5%. Could we see an even bigger jump with other pieces around him?

Meanwhile, Robert Wright III brings a different but equally dangerous skill set. The 6’1 sophmore guard averaged 18.1 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds this past season. He shot 47 percent from the field and 41% from the three-point line. Wright was also one of the best scoring guards in the country this past season alongside AJ Dybantsa and Richie Saunders. Robert Wright III will visit Kentucky on Monday with Tyran Stokes, the No. 1 player in the Class of 2026.

As of now, neither players have committed, but its something to closely monitor. With Diallo already visiting and Wright arriving Monday, Kentucky is clearly positioning themselves to land a superstar.
If the Wildcats can land both, it would instantly reshape expectations for next season — and possibly giving them one of the best backcourts in all of college basketball.
Time will tell.
