Kentucky Quickly Sets Zoom Meeting With FAU Transfer Devin Vanterpool

Kentucky continues to move quickly in the transfer portal, and FAU guard Devin Vanterpool is emerging as an early backcourt target. Sources tell Bleed Blue’s Dylan Brake that Kentucky is expected to hold a Zoom meeting with him as the staff has begun evaluating potential additions following the portal’s opening.

Earlier this week, Dylan reported that Kentucky would hold significant interest in the sophomore guard.

Vanterpool, a 6’4 sophomore, is coming off a breakout season at Florida Atlantic. He averaged 15.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 2.4 APG. Devin also shot 35.1 percent from three. He led FAU in scoring and earned Third Team All-AAC honors along with Most Improved Player after taking a major leap in his second season.

With recent roster turnover, Vanterpool’s ability makes him an appealing option for Kentucky.

The recruitment is still in the early stages, but Kentucky’s early involvement puts Kentucky as a serious contender.
