Kentucky basketball is set to start their 24-25 champaign against Wright State on
Monday November 4 th at Rupp Arena. With a whole new team and new coach,
University of Kentucky has a new type of energy. With many of the team being older
role players, Mark Pope put together a strong team of unselfish and dominant players
from all over the country. From the exhibition games one of the most notable stats was
assists. The team had 32 assists which hasn’t been seen lately from any teams under
Coach Calipari. As well as multiple lethal 3-point shooters on the floor at almost any
given time. It reflects Pope’s style of “team playing” style and the constant ball
movement of this year’s team. While the SEC looks to be a strong conference again the
Cats seem to have a well-rounded group that really causes some chaos among the
conference and in the country. With a hard out of conference schedule again playing
teams like Duke, Gonzaga, and Ohio State out of conference should help the boys get
their feet set on who this team’s identity truly is before going into conference play. Here
comes a whole new era of Kentucky basketball, get excited BBN this is going to be fun!
