Will Stein is set to secure a highly touted three star wide receiver

Kentucky is trending as a leader for 2027 wide receiver Austin Coles, a 6’4, 200lb prospect now at St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida). He’s the No. 636 overall recruit and a top‑100 wide receiver nationally (247sports). Coles has shown playmaking ability on the field. He posted 896 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his most recent high school season, with elite size and catch ability that could quickly translate to the collegiate level.

UK’s coaching staff has remained consistent in Coles’ recruitment, as he was previously offered by the old coaching staff. Kentucky wide receiver coach Joe Price and head coach Will Stein visited Coles at his school on January 27th, building early relationship. A few weeks later, Coles took an official visit to Kentucky on March 13th, going through workouts and spending time with the staff and roster.

Coles’ offer sheet includes programs like Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Florida, and other SEC programs, but Kentucky has consistently been in contact and widely regarded as the favorite in the last couple of weeks.

Adding weight to the talk, Rivals analyst Greg Smith logged a prediction earlier today expecting a commitment from Coles.

Coles hasn’t made a choice yet and could still take visits or evaluate other options as his recruitment continues, but Kentucky’s early involvement and recent prediction make him one of the early names to watch in the 2027 recruiting class. D
